Terms.

Plain English. Stop is a browser light meter. It gives recommendations, not guarantees. If you are shooting paid work, carry a meter you already trust.

What Stop is

Stop is a light meter that runs in a web browser. It reads light using your phone's camera and suggests an exposure that pairs aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for the film stock you pick. Everything runs on the device in front of you.

What Stop is not

It is not a calibrated spot meter. It is not a replacement for a professional meter on a paid shoot. It is a useful second opinion, and often a first one when you are shooting for yourself.

Acceptance

By using Stop you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, close the tab. You have lost nothing by doing that.

No warranty

Stop is provided as is. We do not warrant that a recommendation will be correct for every light, every lens, every film batch, or every development process. Film latitude, filter factors, bellows extension, reciprocity failure, and operator choice all shape the final negative. Stop cannot see any of that.

Your responsibility

You judge whether the recommendation suits the shot. If the meter returns a number that looks wrong for the scene in front of you, trust your eye.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Loop Media Ltd is not liable for lost shots, wasted film, missed clients, or any consequential loss arising from use of Stop. If a court requires a liability cap despite the previous sentence, that cap is the total amount you have paid us for the service. You have paid nothing.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to decompile, rebuild, or repackage Stop as your own product. Do not use the site to harm another person's device or to probe for vulnerabilities in the site or its network. Do not present Stop readings as the verified output of a certified instrument for legal, insurance, or regulatory purposes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute between you and Bright Loop Media Ltd goes to the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

If the terms change the date below moves. Continued use of Stop after that date means you accept the change.
